Certification review
Check document holders, review records, and find coverage gaps.
Open Certifications to review records within your scope. Owners have organization-wide access; other staff see the people and actions they are permitted to manage.
Review an upload
- Confirm the selected worker matches the person named on the document.
- Read the original document and check the certification type and dates.
- Correct suggested fields where needed.
- Approve, reject, or request a correction using the available review action.
Document reading can handle multi-page PDFs and difficult card images, but the reviewer still needs to check the result. A successful extraction does not verify a credential or approve its holder for a task.
Holder-name checks
During supported admin uploads, Site Secure compares the document holder with the selected worker. If the name cannot be read or compared confidently, it asks you to confirm the worker manually.
If the document clearly identifies someone else, choose the suggested worker or explicitly confirm your selection before continuing. Confirmed overrides remain in audit history. Use an override only after checking the original document and worker record.
Find gaps
Filter by certification type to compare people with current records, records awaiting review, expired records, and no record. Open the person's People profile when the link is available. A missing profile link means the current viewer has not been granted access to that destination.
When a certification expires, request renewal rather than editing the old record to make it appear current. Check the review queue again after workers submit replacements.
Certification types
Certification type choices come from a shared catalog rather than a fixed list. Existing records keep their wording and are matched to the catalog automatically, including common spellings such as "OSHA 10" or "First Aid / CPR"; anything unmatched is grouped under Other. Organization-specific credentials and catalog management arrive in a later update.
