Clock in and out
Start a shift, record breaks, and understand time spent at different sites.
Clock in when you start work and clock out when you finish. Choose the site where you are working from the sites available to you.
Start a shift
- Open Timecards on the web or the Time area in the mobile app.
- Choose the jobsite.
- Choose the clock-in action and complete any location or selfie checks shown.
- Confirm that your active shift appears.
Workers normally punch at assigned active sites. Owners can punch at active organization sites when punching is enabled for their role; Admins are limited to sites under their responsibility. If a site is missing, ask an Owner to check your assignment rather than choosing an unrelated site.
Breaks
Start and end breaks using the controls in your active shift. Follow your company's break policy. A reminder can help you remember a break ending, but you should still check the recorded time.
Leaving or moving between sites
Under the standard tracking settings, leaving a site does not clock you out. Site Secure records location evidence against the shift while you remain clocked in.
Moving from one organization site to another keeps the same timecard. The site breakdown shows time at each site, and off-site time stays together as a shift total. Being detected at a different site does not change your assigned jobsites or give you access to that site's records.
If a leave-site prompt appears, record the reason for leaving. Ask your supervisor if your organization uses a specially configured travel or automatic-punch workflow.
End a shift
Open the active shift, choose clock out, and confirm it ended. Leaving the geofence, closing the app, or ignoring a notification is not a substitute for clocking out.
Correct a mistake
Tell an Owner or responsible Admin if you missed a punch, selected the wrong site, lost phone service, or see unexpected hours. Include the actual start or end time and a short explanation. Location evidence helps with review; it does not by itself decide whether time should be paid.
