Safety follow-ups
Record corrective work and have it independently verified.
The Safety Queue and mobile Action Center bring together work from hazards, equipment issues, inspections, and incident corrective actions. Open an item to see its source, due date, status, and history.
Complete the work
- Read the source record and the requested correction.
- Carry out the work, then choose Record remediation when you have that permission.
- Describe what changed and provide the evidence requested.
- Leave the item for an authorized verifier.
Recording remediation moves the item to verification. It does not mean the issue has passed inspection.
Verify the result
A different authorized person must record a successful verification. Review the completed work and evidence. If it does not pass, record the reason; failed verification reopens remediation.
The history preserves attempts and results. Do not create a duplicate follow-up to avoid an unsuccessful attempt or a missing permission.
Equipment and incidents
Equipment affected by a failed inspection stays out of service until its required follow-up is resolved and an authorized person confirms return to service. Incident corrective actions also affect whether the investigation can close as verified.
Due and overdue reminders depend on the organization's settings and the recipient's access. Check the queue directly when planning work instead of relying only on notifications.
